3 easy steps on how to set a static IP address for a Linksys router. Belkin and Netgear may have a different logins but the IP information is the same.

DO NOT use if you have a public IP.

1.     Open your web browser like Internet Explorer and enter the address http://192.168.1.1 (the default IP of the Linksys router) then press Enter.

2.     Enter the router administrator username (default is blank) and password (default is admin).

3.  Under Setup select Static IP and enter the following information:
IP address: 10.0.10.52
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 10.0.10.1
DNS1: 8.8.8.8
DNS2: 8.8.4.4
Save settings
